Handsome 1st Mate, Jerry with the accent, and I fell in love. He professed his love to me on the top deck of an evening party boat under the moonlight.  I couldn’t believe it. I was stunned, I kept on repeating, “Are you serious?”.  It was July, and I had met him in April. So what did I do?  I said yes. The next morning, I woke up and told him I would have to think about it. The next day I told him no. The next day after that I told him yes. And this continued for a week until I settled with the Yes. And what better place to be to buy a great ring than in the Caribbean with all the great jewellery stores available. We went to our friends jewellery store and purchased 'the stone'.  It was official.

Time for an engagement party. After we advised the Captain, he immediately called a party, dinghied over to neighbours charter yachts and invited them for a party that evening, arranged food with the chef and there you have it, a small intimate yacht engagement party ensued.
