I Love Nature
Daily we saw natural wonders, it was a regular occurence. Dolphins love to swim along with the ship, at the bow. I swam with turtles in open water. Watched huge beautiful stingrays gracefully fly through the waters over the white sand. Snorkelled and looked a seahorse in the eye, came face to face with an eel and a barracuda. Pelicans regularly came to visit the ship. One day while having lunch on deck in Charlotte Amalie harbour, a huge tuna fish jumped 15 feet out of the water right next to the ship, likely something bigger was chasing it. What a lovely display!
Moonlight, starlight, phosphorescence glittering brightly in the water, it`s everywhere you look. Living on a ship in the tropics is living outside.
It was wonderful to watch the approaching wall of afternoon tropical rainfall coming across the ocean toward us when one of the crewmembers yelled out `shower` and retrieved the shampoo. We all stood there and washed our hair under the heavy tropical rainfall. A sweet life !
