Physical work is said to bring a sense of well being and a sense of accomplishment at seeing the result of your task. Sometimes there seems to be all work and no play! Hey, you are getting paid and it is a job, get your perspective straight. You are not the one on a vacation, the yacht guests are!
From the pit: varnishing wood, rust removal, wood repair, painting, cleaning, cooking, swabbing the deck. Doesn’t sound so glamorous does it? A necessary evil, the work must get done, and once completed you are off to other great things; isn’t it serene to just sail the vessel?! Like anything in life, the rewards will come once the task at hand is completed. That said, it can get to a point of tedious while doing it. Here is a photo of us after a day of painting. We posed as the American Gothic, with a revision; instead of the pitch fork, we held a paint brush (oh, and a few other revisions). Have a good laugh on us!
